Kogi State without a Deputy Governor.

Kogi State without a Deputy Governor.

Gov Yahaya Bello has been running his administration since 27th January,2019 without his deputy governor. Elder Simon Achuba is the deputy governor before he went on two months annual leave on 26th November, 2018.

Since the expiration of his annual leave on the 26th January,2019 the deputy governor has not appear in any government functions, or to represent the governor in any state government functions. According to public service rule absent from duty without approval is a serious offense.

In view of the above, I wish to call on Elder Simon Achuba deputy to formally tender his resignation, if the political environment is not conducive for him to work under his boss again or make himself available to the responsibility of a deputy governor immediately. If his absent from duty is well approved by his boss kogites should be notify publicly by showing his letter of application for another leave and his resumption letter after the expiration of his November to January leave.

If otherwise Kogi State house of assembly should do the needful by removing the deputy governor through a democratic process and another vibrant kogites from Dekina local government or any other local government in kogi state should be selected for his replacement.

Kogi State is the only state in Nigeria without a deputy governor.
Thank you
